Sonos, the well-known name in home audio systems, has finally made its much-anticipated foray into the headphone market with the launch of the Sonos Ace. These premium wireless over-ear headphones boast active noise cancellation (ANC), taking aim at established players like Bose and Sony.
The Ace promises an immersive audio experience with high-resolution sound and spatial audio capabilities. Users can expect a comfortable fit thanks to the “Bespoke fit” design, featuring a stainless steel headband and plush memory foam ear cups. Additionally, the headphones offer a long battery life of 30 hours, making them ideal for extended listening sessions.
Beyond the technical specifications, the Ace is designed to seamlessly integrate with the Sonos ecosystem. Users can switch audio directly from their Sonos Arc soundbar to the headphones and fine-tune the sound through the Sonos app. This integration could be a significant advantage for existing Sonos users.
The Ace headphones will be available in Black and Soft White color options and will go on sale globally on June 5th, 2024, with a starting price of $450. This launch marks a significant step for Sonos as they expand their reach beyond home audio and compete in the lucrative headphone market.
